Persistent, fair, and knowing when to be a little silly, Mike has a passion for maintaining good health, leadership and finding more passions. As the Lower Mainland Program Manager, Mike supports our program staff, ensures that our program direction is maintained and consistent across classrooms, as well as planning and implementing new adventure-based learning initiatives into our programs.
Before finding his way to Take a Hike in 2019, Mike spent his professional career working in the outdoors, attempting to connect his passion for the outdoors with other purposes that serve to create a better world for those around him. This search has led him down a unique path, working with kids with disabilities in a summer camp setting, leading canoe trips in Ontario and working with a wilderness therapy organization in Alaska.
Outside of work you can find Mike engaging in a variety of physical activities: hockey, skiing, mountain biking, running, or a casual night inside getting crafty in the kitchen. Ask Mike about any operations of Lower Mainland Programs, and hockey.
